Golden Plains Music Festival - Meredith

The Golden Plains festival is one of the most organic, non-intrusive festivals in Australia. Located about 90km from Melbourne CBD on a farm in rural Victoria, the festival is a haven for seekers and music lovers where there are very few rules. You can bring your own alcohol, you can take your own couch and you can dress up, or un-dress as little or as much as you want. There is a huge natural amphitheatre where all the musicians perform. A fantastic Pink Flamingo bar specialises in only 2 types of cocktails and an atmosphere of camaraderie, humanity and "chill out vibes" abounds. Tickets can only be bought via a ballot process if you are a subscriber. The festival is held for 3 days during the Labour Day weekend in Victoria.
